Bio: Denver presents The Rouge: the small city’s next big band. These individually talented musicians have combined their charisma and energy to set a new standard for five-piece rock & roll. With tireless practice and larger-than-life performances, The Rouge has fast-forwarded to a fan base and musical maturity that takes most bands years to acquire. But it’s more than just well-calculated pop sensibility that makes this band attractive. With their collective youthful edge, headed up by heartbreaker Josh Vaught, this band is as easy on the eyes as it is on the ears. Vaught’s musical history with bassist Jack Egan set the framework for The Rouge, and with the addition of Adam Call (guitar, keys), Mike Griffith (guitar) and Steve Voss (drums), the package was complete. Now The Rouge is gaining momentum and turning heads with their well-received performance at the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase and recent award as the 2009 Best Indie Pop band at the Denver Westword Music Showcase.
